Iemand vraagt Moefz om hulp en wie zijn wij om daar geen gehoor aan te geven? Het is immers een vraag over
een artiest van hoge klasse.
Robert Palmer - in Holland.
I've long admired the work of Robert Palmer - diverse, eclectic...rock, dance, jazz, soul, heavy metal, blues, "new wave" - there were few styles if any that he didn't touch on.
Lately, along with other collectors and fans of live music I've been marvelling over his concert recordings - its turns out there are many.
It seems also that Robert may have had quite a following in Holland, or at least respect there...from the late 70's onwards several of his live performances were aired on radio, it seems.
A recording from the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam was broadcast on FM radio in 1978, apparently a compilation of various dates in Holland from the 1979 tour were aired too! This is curious...I have no information beyond that, and it is unusual for a number of dates to be compiled for a broadcast, particularly from one country.
Finally a concert from Nijmegen, on 15th Oct 1980 was broadcast on FM radio, and indeed re-broadcast on Radio 2 NL in 2008.
I'd be interested in recollections on Robert Palmer in Holland - in particular any information as to what made him popular enough there to be for his concerts to be apparently broadcast three years running, an unusually high strike rate.
Also if anyone is able to point me in the direction of recordings of these show, I'd be very grateful, as would many other Robert Palmer fans!

I can't understand much of the text...seems I could listen to it there.
I'd rather get in touch with the guy and beg him to trade the show! :)
